Lying in the northwest of Hunan province, it covers 4810 hectare, 32 kilometers from Zhangjiajie city, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park was recognized as the first national forest park in China. The park is famous for its strange peaks, quiet valleys and elegant forest.
In spring it is drowned by fragrance of brilliant flowers. In summer with cool wind, it is the great resort for leisure and relaxation. Mountains are decorated by red leaves and wild fruits in autumn whereas by glittering snow in winter. How to get there: There are Special Tourist Buses from the downtown area of Zhangjiajie to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.
Bounded by Suoxi Valley on the east, Zhangjiajie on the south, Sangzhi County on the north, Tianzi Mountain is one of the four scenic zones in Wulingyuan.
Tianzi Mountain is regarded as the top site to see sandstone peaks in high density, covering 9,000 hectare with the highest altitude 1262.5 meters at Kunlun Mountain.

Embraced by continuous mountains, the artificial Baofeng Lake (Treasure-Peak Lake) is located in the Suoxiyu Scenic Area in the south of Suoxiyu Town of Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province.
Reputed as the abode of fairy mother goddess on earth, the Baofeng Lake is a rare high gorges lake and shaped by surrounding mountains into a narrow strip. Green trees and stone peaks of various shapes surround the lake. There are also marvelous running waterfalls, pouring out like troops from heaven descending to the world.

Discovered by local villagers in 1983 in Zhangjiajie and opened to tourists in 1984, Yellow Dragon Cave is regarded as the most beautiful cavern in China by some tourist.
The Yellow Dragon Cave system covers a proven area of 140 meters. The inner recess is divided into four layers, two dry ones and two possessing waterways. The tally of natural wonders includes: one natural reservoir, 2 underground rivers, 3 pools, 4 waterfalls, 13 grand halls, 96 passageways and hundreds of thousands of stalagmites, columns and stalactites.

The Golden Whip Stream is one of the most attractive travel spot in Zhangjiajie which flows between steep grotesque peaks and luxuriant trees.
Named after the Golden Whip Rock that it flows by, this stream, 5.7 kilometers long (3.5 miles), joins the Lute stream in the west and Suoxi Stream in the east. A 300-meter (984 feet) walk from the gate of the park will lead you to the entrance of the Golden Whip Stream. Flanked by ridges and peaks, the crystal clear water makes it possible to observe every action of the fish in the water. Wild flowers are in abundance here.

How to get there: After you have entered Zhangjiajie Forest Park, walking straight for 300 meters, the Golden Whip Stream is right there.
Located in Zhangjiajie, the meaning of the valley name is: “fog laden village” in the dialect of the local Tujia people.
Suoyi Valley Nature Reserve connected to Zhangjiajie in southwest and abutted to Tianzi Mountain in northwest contains tourist sites of over 200.
Suoxi Valley covers an area of more than 180 square kilometers. It has uniquely-shaped peaks and cliffs as well as clear streams and brooks and waterfalls. Tourists have a chance to explore Ten-li Corridor, which looks like outdoor sculpture showroom.

Phoenix Ancient Town is a town out of time, at the southwest ridge of central China’s Hunan province, and 200km away from Zhangjiajie.
Hemmed in by rolling mountains and watered by a smoothly flowing river, flagstone streets, rows of traditional wooden houses built on stilts, towers, bridges everywhere, small boats rowed down the river, that’s a portrait of Fenghuang. It’s an authentic ancient town not too touristy.
