    1. Hello,
I will be staying Beijing on 20th may and also the 27th may, which day do you recommend is less busy?

Also I will be staying at tuanjiehu area of Beijing. How would you recommend is the quickest way to get to baddaling area of the Great Wall?

How much money is it to get to the top of the great wall? How much money is the cable car that takes you to the top of the cable car? How much time does the cable car take to reach the top? Does the cable car go all the way to the top and come back down again? Are there big queues for the cable cars for a long time? How long is the wait? If I don’t want to hike, climb or cannot walk along the Great Wall can we look and have a little walk then easily get back down in a cable car again?

      Please answer my questions
      Thank you
      Leanne

    2. Hello Leanne,

Both 20th may and 27th may falls on Monday, so no big difference in terms of tourist hordes on the Badaling Great Wall on that day.

You may take a taxi or hire a vehicle and go directly from Tuanjiehu to Badaling Great Wall. You may also go to Deshengmen Bus Station to take Bus 877 for Badaling, or go to Beijing North Railway Station to take S trains for Badaling.

      Badaling Bus 877 : http://www.tour-beijing.com/blog/beijing-travel/travel-review/badaling-great-wall-bus/
      Badaling S Train: http://www.tour-beijing.com/blog/beijing-travel/how-to-visit-great-wall-by-train-visit-badaling-great-wall-by-train/

Entrance Fee for Badaling: RMB 45
One way cable car: RMB 50 ( 2-5 minutes): Two way cable car: aprrox. RMB 80
The Cable car to a high place near the top. You may buy a return ticket and take the cable back.
Basically, on Monday it won’t a long queue. But it is hard to predict how long the wait is.
If you don’t have strong legs, you walk around and back to the cable car station.
