My name is Arslan Hayat and I have completed my Chinese language course in January 2013 from Lanzhou University. I just come to Shenzhen from Lanzhou in these holidays. On February 1st 2013 at 2:20 pm I hired a taxi and went to the bus station. Those busses carry the passengers to the Airport. Unfortunately I forgot my luggage in the taxi and I don’t know even the taxi number. Further another mishap took that I forgot to take the receipt from the taxi driver.

In April 2014 we will visit Danxia Geological Park near Zhangye (old name is Ganzhou) in Gansu.
We come from KMG Kunming with China Eastern to LHW Lanzhou.
How can we (an old Dutch Couple over 70 years) go from LHW to the park?
Do you have taxi service (for may be 5 days?) What is the price?
Is it better with ENKOR flight to YZY Zhangye and from Zhangye a taxi to the Park?

Danxia Geological Park lies about 40km to the west of the city of Zhangye, between Linze County（临泽县） and Sunan County （肃南县）.
How to get to the park from Zhengye?
1) Hire a taxi: about RMB 150 – 200
2) Take a bus from Zhangye Xiguan Bus Station( 西关汽车站) and buy a bus ticket for Sunan County (肃南县) and ask your bus driver to drop you off at Danxia (47km). Then on your left side there is a huge signboard pointing to the park.

Not sure exactly about the cost for hiring a taxi from Lanzhou to Liujiaxia and back to Lanzhou airport. Local taxi drivers are reluctant to go beyond Lanzhou. You’d better join in a local tour visiting Liujiaxia. Or you may ask your hotel to hire a private car for the day trip.
I want to visit Linxia. Can I just hail any taxi at Lanzhou along the road or have to take from Taxi stand. How much will it cost. On the way back from Linxia, is it possible to get a taxi back to my hotel at Lanzhou. Must I go to a taxi stand to get the cab from Linxia or can I just hail the taxi from the street. What is the taxi operating time.

Linxian is about 140 km to the southwest of Lanzhou.
Basically people would take the long-distance bus from Lanzhou South Bus Station to Linxia ( about 2 hours, bus fare 45 yuan ).
As for the taxi ride, you have to bargain with a cab driver. Some taxi drivers are unwilling to go to the destinations beyond Lanzhou. If they agree to go, some of them won’t use meters and you have to negotiate the taxi ride price ( approx. 200 yuan ).
If you can share a taxi with other passengers if you are lucky to have similar passengers.
