Strawberries are an easy plant to grow, and can be grown almost anywhere in the world. In Beijing there are also numerous strawberry farms here and there, of which the strawberry farm operated by Beijing Tianyi Strawberry Ecology is most favored by the strawberry picking lovers in Beijing.

Established in the year 2001, Tianyi Strawberry Ecology is Beijing’s key agricultural enterprise, the only enterprise with the certificate of organic strawberry planting in China. The Tianyi Strawberry Farm has become the strawberry developing model by China Strawberry Association and one of the largest strawberry plants raising bases.

Now Tianyi Strawberry Ecology operates three strawberry planting bases – Tianyi Strawberry Garden and Tianyi Peach & Strawberry Garden. Tianyi Strawberry Garden is located in the south of Xingshou Village in Changping Disctric of Beijing. So Tianyi strawberry Garden will present to the world its excellent strawbrries, strawberry planting skill, strawberry processing products and strawberry marketing concepts.

On Dec 28, 2012 we visited Tianyi Strawberry Garden in the very early morning. Well just follow us in the strawberry garden. Tianyi Strawberry Garden is located Xingshou Township of Changping District in the north of Beijing city. It takes around 40 mintes van ride from the downtown Beijing.

Tianyi Strawberry Garden is actually a farmland dotted with rows of greenhouses where strawberries, cherries or other fruit trees are grown. By the entrance, there is a strawberry exhibition center. It looks quite shabby, due to the early winter low picking season.

During strawberry or other fruits picking time, specially on the weekends, urban residents would flock here for the fun of fruit picking. Then all of them would come here inside the glass house to have their trophies weighed and charged.

Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011
Are you planning your Beijing excursions? I went to Hongluo Temple with my friend last Sunday. Hongluo Temple is one of the largest and most extensive Buddhist temples located in Huairou, the northern Beijing.

The Hongluo Temple is 55 kilometers from downtown Beijing, I got up at 6 o’clock in the morning. The best way to get there is to take No. 867 from Dongzhimen.

I live in the south of Beijing, so I have to take Subway Line 5 first and transfer to Subway Line 2 at Chongwenmen.

When we arrived at Dongzhimen, I felt very hungry because I didn’t have breakfast. In order to save time, we decided to have some fast food.

Are you familiar with this place? Yeah, it’s McDonald’s!

The bus runs from 7:00 to 17:00 everyday at an internal of 30 minutes with the cost of RMB7.00 for one way. It’s 7:35 when we got to the bus station after a quick breakfast. Unfortunately, Bus of No. 867 has just left. So we had to wait for another 30 minutes for the next bus.

Bus No. 867 finally arrived around 8:00.

We entered into the Hongluo Temple from the main entrance. According to the guide map, we knew that the temple is divided into 5 courtyards. After entering the main gate, you will find a huge tripod in front of you.

There are three ways to climb to the top hill, and we chose the shortest and steepest way. Half an hour later, we arrived at Guanyin Temple. There are several different kinds of Guanyin. We worshiped them one by one.

After getting out from Guanyin Temple, we kept climbing to Tianmen Mountain. The natural scene of the Hongluo Temple is very beautiful. It leans against the Hongluo Moun-tain in the north and overlooks the Hongluo Lake in the south.

It was foggy last Sunday. So the far away view was very hazy.

Since time is limited, there were still some places we didn’t reach. But wondering around the temple, breathing the fresh air, I would be attracted by this quite place and be addicted in the nature. What a wonderful journey it is!

I was so tired after I arrived in Tianmen Mountain that I could keep climbing to the top of the hill. So we decided to go downhill from another way, from which we could pass by View Corridor and Arhad Garden.
