Springtime is coming at Beijing International Sculpture Park

Each year, March 15 is the official date for halting the heating system in the whole city of Beijing. This special date reminds people that spring is around the corner in Beijing.
The whole city of Beijing wakes up with flowers blooming here and there between later March and mid-May after a 4-month cold winter. In spring, one of the best delights is to see various Beijing Spring Flowers come into blossom one after another under the warm sunshine.
Today is March 16, 2011, a fine and warm day with maximum 13 degree. Around 13:00 we visit Beijing International Sculpture Park. In the west part of the park, there is a  Yulan Magnolia Garden planted with hundreds of Yulan Magnolia trees of 9 species.
Most of the Yulan Magnolia in Beijing will bloom in early April. But today, to our pleasant surprise, we happen to see 3 blooming Yulan Magnolia trees though most of the Yulan Magnolia here are still in their dormant stage.
