China North International Shooting Range – Driving Directions and Shooting Procedure

 China North International Shooting Range is one of the biggest shooting ranges in the world which is mainly focused on recreational shooting. With an area of 200,000 square meters, CNISR (China North International Shooting Range) is composed of firearms museum, clay-pigeon shooting range, shooting hall, gun club (VIP), multi-function exercises range and indoor shooting hall. It also offers two 200m professional target lanes, eighteen 100m professional target lanes and eight 25m pistol lanes.

With the support of No.208 Research Institute of China Ordnance Industries, aimed at offering national defense education and shooting entertainment, CNISR (China North International Shooting Range) brings us a new and modern lifestyle and creates a novel and knowlegeable  for recreational shooters.

In CNISR, you will feast your eyes with numerous foreign and domestic handguns and rifles,  and unveil the myths of world first-class small arms. They also offer face to face professional coaches with advanced target-scoring system. CNISR is an outdoor shooting range which is backed by a high hill, and specially-designed wall snaking on the hill to prevent the ricochet of bullets or shots going outside the bounds of the shooting range. Each facility is typically overseen by one supervisory personnel, who are responsible for ensuring that all gun safety rules are followed at all times.

Driving Directions and Route 
China North International Shooting Range is located Nankou Town, Changping District, approxi.40km from downtown Beijing. Drive along Jingzuang Highway G6, the same highway to Changping District, Juyongguan Great Wall  and Badaling Great Wall . You get off at Chenzhuang (Nankou) Exit 36 which is between Changping District and Juyongguan Great Wall.

Getting off Jingzuang Highway at Chenzhuang (Nankou) Exit 36 陈庄(南口)36出口, follow your nose north, then turn left at the Chenzhuang Bridge (陈庄桥). Crossing under the bridge, then immediately turn right (north) and drive along the provincial road till you come across a fork – Dongdajie Lukou (东大街路口), then you turn left (east)on Wennan Road(温南路).

Drive approx. 2km on the Wennan Road (温南路), you come aross a fork again, then turn right (north) along Yanchi Road (雁翅). Passing by the filling station, you drive along the trees lined Liu Cun and Yanchi Road (刘村, 雁翅). Turn right at the fork – South Mafang (马坊南口). 

At northeast of the South Mafang (马坊南口), on your left side, there is a restaurant named “书琴餐厅”. So you turn right, drive about 200 meters, you will reach the entrance to the No.208 Research Institute of China Ordnance Industries (中国兵器工业第208研究所), the sponsor of the shooting range. 

Passing through the entrance, go straight and come across a roundabout and you soon see on your right side a security guide standding by a sentry box. You have to register here before drive further to the reception hall.

The reception hall.
Shooting Registration and  Procedure
Go to the front desk inside the reception hall for registration. You have to show your ID Card or passport, then sign a simple contract to the effect that you should abide by the rules and regulations set by CNISR. One of the shooting consultant will follow you from beginning to the end.
 

First go to the gun selection room to select the pistol or rifle, the amount of ammunition that you are going to use for your shooting practice. Then move on to the shooting hall and wait at the enclosed transparent  shooting cabin for your turn to shoot.

 

One supervisory personnel will be always with you, telling or teaching you how to shoot. After shooting, you will see your shooting target coming to you due to the moving scoring system. 

After all this, you again go to the front desk to settle your bill.
